Three party meeting in progress to form Socialist Center

Kathmandu, 19 July: The leaders of the three parties are engaged in a discussion for the formation of Socialist Center in Singh Durbar. The discussion of the leaders is in progress  at the office of the parliamentary party a of the ruling CPN Maoist Center. Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal, Leader Jhalnath Khanal, Coordinator of CPN United National Campaign Bamdev Gautam, Leader of Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha, Barshman Pun are participating in the discussion.

Before the three-party discussion, a discussion was held between Maoist Center Chairman Dahal and former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. At the recently held meeting of the Central Committee of the Maoist Center, Dahal had proposed the creation of a non-Congress, non-CPN -UML socialist center. In the political report presented to the Central Committee by the President of United Socialist Madhav Nepal had also laid emphasis on forming a new left-wing alliance.
