Kathmandu, 16 July: Young Communist League (YCL), the youth organization of the CPN Maoist Center, has met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and demanded the suspension of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
On Saturday, YCL reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, and handed over a memorandum, demanding that the Governor Adhikari be dismissed as soon as possible and brought under investigation.
In the memorandum submitted by the YCL to the Prime Minister, it is said, ” Governor M Adhikari (Mahaprasad Adhikari) of Rashtra Bank, who is a member of a political party’ must be relieved from the responsibility as he has forged educational qualifications, he should be immediately dismissed and investigated.”
