Kathmandu, 14 July: NCP Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda is leaving for Delhi on 15 July just after he met with the visiting Chinese leaders in Kathmandu. Many of the party standing committee members were unaware of the visit. They were informed about the party chair’s Delhi visit only after reports were published in Newspapers on Thursday.
After the news report, Prachanda’s secretariat informed that he is scheduled to visit Delhi at the invitation of Bharatiya Janata Party chair JP Nadda.
Narayankaji Shrestha and Dev Gurung like leaders have felt uncomfortable from the party chair’s India visit immediately after his hour-long meeting with the Chinese leaders in town.
Prachanda is visiting Delhi at a time when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s wife Arju Rana is in Delhi.
PM Deuba is trying to strengthen the present political alliance and become the prime minister after the general election as well through an Indian blessing. His other mission is to establish his wife Arju as his successor.
Political observers speculate whether the present visit of Arju and Prachanda is aimed at strengthening the alliance and sharing the prime ministerial post by Deuba and Prachanda turn by turn through the Indian initiative!
Meanwhile, some other political observers speculate that Prachanda’s visit has been fixed by the Indians for a first-hand briefing on what the Chinese leaders said to him.
