
Kathmandu, 11 July: The government is all set to purchase arms for Nepal Police and it has booked weapons from an Italian company at four times higher than the current market price. It was booked three days ago to bring the weapon made by Beretta Company of Italy.
12-bore guns and 9mm pistols manufactured by Bereta Company are being procured. The government has booked the weapons produced by the company. Each weapon’s cost is at the range of 700 to 800 euros in the international market but Nepal is paying 3,200 euros for the same quality of guns, reports Rajdhani daily.
