Kathmandu, 18 June: Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has blamed the then Chief of Army Staff after his name was added to the US State Partnership Programme (SPP).
The then Chief of Army Staff, Rajendra Chhetri, wrote a letter to the US asking for the involvement of the SPP as per the permission of the government.
During a training program session UML-elected people’s representatives on Friday, Oli said that the letter was sent with the permission of the previous government and claimed that he was not involved in advancing the SPP.
