JSP dispute: Baburam prepares to remove Upendra

Kathmandu, 18 June: If the chairman of the executive committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Upendra Yadav, does not take a step back, it is certain that the JSP will split. The faction led by Baburam Bhattarai has devised a strategy to remove Yadav from the post of chairman of the executive committee if he does not take a step back.

The leaders of Bhattarai faction are busy with the task of convening a meeting of the Central Committee by collecting the signatures of the majority members in the Executive Committee and the Central Committee, to exert pressure on Yadav. If Yadav denies to convene the meeting, the faction itself will hold the meeting and expel Yadav, according to reports.
