Barking dogs never bite

BABBLES

By Babbler

On Monday, PM Oli, seeking a vote of confidence, opined that he has done so many things as if there is nothing left to do for making the country prosperous.

Interestingly, the leaders, Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda, Mahantha Thakur, Upendra Yadav, were alleging each other for being involved in corruption. This is true. Intriguingly, if all the leaders were involved in rampant corruption, who is the most corrupt one among them? Be sure, those barking dogs never bite.

Terrible time!

When the ruler is worst, the leaders are greedy, people will have to suffer. We are suffering from the present difficult situation as we have chosen bad leaders and we have adopted a bad system as well. One may say no system could be bad but the present system is indeed bad because it has encouraged corruption and exploitation as it is an expensive one and our country’s resources cannot bear the expenses to function the system. This bad system was imposed upon us to destroy us not to make us prosperous.

Replacing Oli or the system?

Since Monday, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has become a caretaker prime minister from a powerful prime minister with a two-thirds majority.

Oli’s critics are saying that he should be ousted as soon as possible. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has already urged the political parties to give an alternative government garnering a majority in the House of Representatives.

Can the opposition parties give an alternative government, it is still a difficult task.

Be that as it may, the question is whether a change of the guard makes a drastic change in Nepali politics? Of course not as all the faces have already been tested. Even if a corrupt, cunning, autocratic person Oli is removed from power, we may see the other leaders having the background of being cunning, cruel, corrupt and criminal.

The present system is designed to empower those corrupt and criminals. Therefore, one cannot hope for better days of the nation from the change of guard! Therefore, we must remove the present system.

Quotes of the Week

Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli’s public appeal to the international community for humanitarian assistance to control the Covid-19 pandemic has not been reciprocated so far, which is really disappointing and worrisome for Nepal!

Is Nepal paying the high price of losing diplomatic credibility?

I am a Sanatan Hindu follower, born into a family that worships God every morning and evening. I also pray every day. But don’t get me wrong, I am telling the truth that the Hindu religion is under threat from the Europeans and other religion. More than that, it is under threat from the Nepali Brahmans here!

People across the country are severely suffering from the Coronavirus pandemic. In the meantime, the ghosts of democracy are engaged in playing the power game. What is the priority of the nation – change of the guard or overcoming the pandemic?

Devendra Bartaula

All the political changes that took place in Nepal have been guided only by the reactionary spirit of system change. Thoughts/plans/blueprints to address the basic agenda of the country/people did not find a place in the process of system change. Therefore, no matter what the name of the system is, only the ruler has changed and the style of politics has not changed.

Pukada (Pushpakamal Dahal) seems to be joking when he uses words like people’s rights, democratic system, parliamentary system and national independence.

Didn’t you try to kill the people by dropping bombs against the same democratic system, people’s fundamental rights and national independence in 1952 BS? Thinking to face see-no-evil monkey.

Yugdrashta (Prabhat)

Whatever Oli, Deuba, Dahal shout, they are not heard or believed. The leaders are not to work for the people. In the epidemic, they are staging the power struggle drama.
