Kathmandu, 4 November: All seven province chiefs have been dismissed by the government. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, under the recommendation of the government, issued a notice on 3 November evening stating dismissing of the province chiefs.
Earlier, the cabinet meeting led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had taken the decision of dismissing province chiefs.
Those who have been dismissed are:
Prof Dr Gobinda Bahadur Tumbahamphe, Province No 1;
Ratneshwar Lal Karna, Province No 2; Anuradha Koirala Province No 3; Baburam Kunwar, Gandaki Province;
Umakant Jha, Province No 5; Durgakeshar Khanal, Karnali Province and Mohanraj Malla, Far Western Province.
