Kathmandu, 22 October: Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli laid foundation stone of the Nagdhunga-Sisnekhola tunnel road amidst a function on 21 October.
PM Oli claimed that it will be the first tunnel road to be constructed in Nepal. He said, the nation is now moving towards one step forward along with construction of tunnel road.
However, history states that Nepal had already constructed tunnel road in Chure hill near Hetauda one hundred years ago.
Chanda Rana (Chanda rana@Chandarana9) has shared a video <https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=40Qh7B-rUOc> as evidence that Churia tunnel was the first tunnel road designed and constructed by her grandfather chief engineer Brigadier Colonel Daly Jung Thapa. Ms Rana has claimed that Thapa was her grandfather.
