Nepal-India secretary level energy meeting concluded with the decision of constructing New Butwal-Gorakhpur transmission line with equal investment.
The meeting also decided to hold tri-lateral meeting among Nepal, India and Bangladesh within three months.
The secretary level meeting started on Monday in Bangalore, India was attended by secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire.
Bangladesh has expressed commitment for importing 9 thousand MW electricity from Nepal by 2040.
The New Butwal-Gorakhpur transmission line will have 400 MW capacity.
