Kathmandu, 11 October: After publication of a notice by the Federal Parliament about his arrest by the Police on the rape charge, outgoing speaker of the Federal Parliament Krishnabahadur Mahara’s post of the Member of Parliament has been suspended.
After the Federal Parliament’s decision, Mahara cannot enjoy any facility from the Parliament including salary and allowances.
The Nepal Communist Party Secretariat meeting had asked Mahara to tender resignation from both the posts – speaker and MP. However, Mahara had denied obeying the party decision of tendering resignation from the post of the MP.
