Kathmandu, 8 October: Former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev offered Dasain Tika to general public this afternoon. The former King started offering Tika at 4 PM. Even after Nepal has been declared a republic nation above a decade ago, a large section of people still admire monarchial rule and they regard the last King as the incarnation of Lord Bishnu. A large queue of general public admiring monarchy was witnessed at the Nirmal Niwas premises, former King’s private residence, this afternoon.
Some groups were chanting slogans saying “Come King Save Nation”!
People from ethnic community were seen there in their traditional dress.
