Kathmandu, 13 August: Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane’s visa application for the US has been rejected.
Lamicchane, in a tweet, mentioned that his application was rejected by the US Embassy in Kathmandu. The young legspinner, who has been playing for the national squad for the last three years, had applied for an American visa to play in the Caribbean Premier League due to start on September 4. He is supposed to play for Barbados Tridents.
“Being a National Cricket Player representing my country in the various leagues since 2016 around the world, this is a big surprise to me,” he tweeted earlier this morning.
