Kathmandu, 8 August: The number of people killed in a passenger bus accident that took place this morning at Salangghat of Benighat Rorang rural municipality-3 in Dhadhing has reached five.
Three had died on the spot, according to District Police Office, Dhading. Among the injured, 16 are being treated at different health facilities such as the Highway Community Hospital, Malekhu, Primary Health Centre Gajuri, Highway Community Hospital, Gajuri and National Trauma Center, Kathmandu.
The police preliminary investigations suggested the accident happened as the driver fell asleep. Some of the passengers survived the accident by swimming to the shore. Thirty nine passengers had boarded the ill-fated bus bound to Kathmandu from Malangawa.
