Cabinet reshuffle likely soon

Seventeen months after the formation of the powerful communist government, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has initiated homework to reshuffle the Cabinet.
He has initiated the process to reshuffle the cabinet after the public started criticiisng the government for the poor performance of a few ministers.
Prime Minister Oli had already held meetings with the leaders of his party, Nepal Communist Party, after he felt pressure to make a change in the cabinet.
According to a member of the Prime Minister’s secretariat, PM Oli held discussions with another party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal and Bam Dev Gautam regarding the issue.
It was learnt that the Prime Minister has almost decided the new faces in the cabinet. Yogesh Bhattarai is becoming new Minister for Communication and Information Technology while Gokul Baskota will become Physical Works and Transportation Minister. Raghubir Mahaseth is likely to be ousted from the Cabinet.
