Kathmandu, 21 July: As the 14th General Convention of the main opposition party Nepali Congress is approaching, the anti-establishment or Deuba group has intensified its meeting in a bid to corner him.
According to Nayapatrika daily, the Koirala family, Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Sitaula groups and their subgroups have been regularly meeting to downsize Sher Bahadur Deuba’s stature.
As Nepali Congress had to face a disgraceful defeat in local, provincial and federal parliament elections, these factions had challenged Deuba openly alleging of inability to steer the party to right direction.
