Kathmandu, 4 July:A Nepali national named Santosh Shrestha has been killed on the night attack on the east of Tripoli at the Tajoura detention centre in Libya and six others are still stranded there.
According to Cairo -based Nepali Embassy, he was declared dead in hospital as per International Migration Organization (IOM),Libya. It has been reported that many migrants and refugees died on the attack.
Two days ago, IOM had asked for his travel document to the Embassy and the Embassy had sent his travel documents to IOM,Egypt to be sent to IOM,Libya as the courier service took long time to dispatch the documents to war torn Libya.
The Embassy is trying to get further information about him. The deceased and others were taken to Libya by the human traffickers to be sent to Italy from there.
