Kathmandu, 22 June: A total of 69 people have died while 343 were injured in various incidents of disaster in the previous two months. The casualties were reported in the month of Baisakh and Jestha of the lunar calendar across the country.
According to Nepal Police, Disaster Management Division, of them 23 died after being struck by lightning , 13 due to high altitude sickness, 10 in incidents of fire, eight due to storm, seven in attack by wild animals, four in landslides, one due to an epidemic and three from other incidents of disaster. In the previous year the death toll was recorded 35.
