Kathmandu, 31 May: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case at Special Court against immigration officer Ramakant Aryal at the Tribhuvan International Airport. The case is filed against him for amassing the property without transparent source of income. The CIAA found the illegal ground of property income while analyzing the source income from his entry since 2059 BS till now.
The CIAA investigation concluded that Aryal accumulated the property of Rs 28 million lacking legal source of income. This amount was suspected of corruption while assessing Aryal’s salary, allowance, loan, income from agricultural products, division of property and sale of property, sale of lands, deposit in the bank. According to CIAA, a case has also been filed at the Special Court against Aryal’s spouse Sarita Nepal.
