Lieutenant Colonel sacked

Kathmandu, 26 May:  On charges of corruption Lieutenant Colonel Keshavraj Karki of Nepal Army has been sacked from service. Head of Kali Siddi Battalion at Udaypaur, Karki was sacked on Friday, reports Kantipur daily.

Karki was found to have misappropriated funds while he was serving in the battalion and Rastrapati Chure Terai Madhes Conservation Project. While in office he embezzled Rs 5 million and has been put behind the bars at the Central Jail
