Nine passengers were killed and 25 others were injured in a bus road accident at Gajuri Rural Municipality-6 in Dhading district on Sunday morning.
The bus with registration number Na 7 Kha 4387 heading to Kathmandu from Kakarbhitta, Jhapa, plunged into the Trishuli River at 6:00 am.
Police said over-speed led to the fatal accident.
Five passengers died on the spot while other four breathed their last while undergoing treatment, in hospitals.
Phadindra Karki, one of the injured passengers, said that the bus met accident within five minutes after the driver of the bus was changed.
