SEE cancelled in State 2 due to leakage of questions

By Our Reporter
The government decided to hold the postponed SEE in State 2 from April 5. The examination in State 2 was postponed after the leakage of question papers for two consecutive days. The inability of the State Government to provide security to the SEE papers showed how poor is the State in maintaining good governance.
However, the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) concluded peacefully in six states from Monday. However, the examinations of technical stream of all states and the regular SEE in State 2 are yet to be concluded.
The technical stream examinations would conclude on April 4 and state two examinations would conclude on April 12.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) cancelled the SEE after question papers of compulsory science and social studies were leaked.
On Monday, National Examination Board published the new routine of postponed SEE examinations from April 5.
A total of 474,003 examinees were qualified to appear the examinations.
About 70,000 examinees were appearing examinations from state two.
Unlike in the past, the responsibility to manage the SEE examination has been given to the State Government from this year. Earlier, the federal government had managed the examinations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoE) Friday handed over the case to Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to probe into Secondary Education Examination (SEE) question leak in State 2.
