Former Queen Mother recovering after a minor surgery

Former Queen Mother Ratna Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, 88, who had underwent a minor surgery on Thursday, 16 June, is recovering at her private residence Mahendra Manjil in the Narayanhitty Royal Palace premises.
The former Queen Mother was admitted at the Norvic International Hospital on Thursday, 16 June after she complained of abdominal pain.
A team of doctors led by senior physician Madhu Ghimire had conducted surgery. As her health condition was normal, the same night she was discharged from the hospital.
Royal family members including former King Gyandra Shah, former Queen Komal and former Crown Princess Himani visited the hospital.
According to Dr Phinendra Pathak, Press Secretary of the former King, Queen Mother’s health condition is normal and is on rest at her own residence, Mahendra Manjil.
