Upendra Karki, Mayor of the Kageshwori Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu district has been elected as a council member of the United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC).
He was elected during the 10th UCLG ASPAC Congress held in Goyang, South Korea. His term will run from 2025 to 2027.
Karki was elected mayor representing the Nepali Congress Party.
