Kathmandu, September 12: Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been appointed as the head of the government. An agreement was reached to dissolve the House of Representatives after a day-long discussion on Friday.
The appointment of the Prime Minister was delayed in the name of consultation by the President.
After the resignation of KP Sharma Oli from the post of Prime Minister following the movement by the Gen Z generation, President Ram Chandra Paudel had been intensifying discussions about forming an interim government for a few days.
Karki is scheduled to take the oath of office this evening.
