
Kathmandu, August 25: Cholera, which has been spreading for a few days, has admitted 96 patients to the hospital in Birgunj in one day. According to the Birgunj Municipal Health Branch, 96 new patients were added on Monday alone.
The number of patients is increasing due to the cholera outbreak in Birgunj Metropolitan City-11, 12 and 13. According to the head of the health department of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality, Rajuprasad Saha, cholera has been spreading for three days. So far, 344 people have been hospitalized from the outbreak.
178 of them have returned home after treatment. There are currently 166 patients in the hospital. 27 people are being treated in the ICU, 122 in the ward and 6 in the HDCU.
