
Kathmandu, May 25: Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder Goldberger paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav. In the meeting held on Friday at the office of the Vice President, issues related to bilateral relations, cooperation in the agriculture and labor sectors, and other matters of mutual interest and interest were discussed, according to the VP’s secretariat.
Vice President Yadav mentioned that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Israel on June 1, 1960, the relationship is based on friendship, harmony, understanding and cooperation.
“The support provided by Israel to Nepal in the fields of scholarships, employment, agriculture and cooperatives is commendable”, the VP said, “I believe that Nepal-Israel relations will continue to progress through mutual support and cooperation.” He also said that it is necessary to make more efforts to increase bilateral trade.
VP Yadav extended thanks to the Israeli government for providing jobs to Nepali youth (especially women) in the ‘caregiver’ service sector.
Discussing multilateral relations, he said that Nepal has always been in favor of peace, non-discrimination and stability in the Middle East.
