
Kathmandu, May 15: Chairman of the UML and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli of the ruling party accused the Nepali Congress of selling the land of Giribandhu Tea Estate taking commission.
He made this allegation when Congress was accusing Oli of police corruption in the Tea Estate’s land when he was in the government.
Speaking at the party’s parliamentary party meeting on Wednesday, chairman Oli accused the then Congress-led government of selling 19 bighas and 51 bighas of tea estate land on commission. He demanded for an investigation of the case.
He also insisted that UML is not in favor of keeping silent about the mischief done by Congress. Oli also pressured the Congress to resume the Parliament session immediately.
Oli insisted that the Congress should not block the parliament to waste the valuable time of the dignified parliament and the country.
