Kathmandu, 20 June: According to the constitution of Nepal, the post of the Vice President is an apolitical despite a politician is elected to it. Once anyone assumes this high post of the state, s/he is expected to remain apolitical, as envisioned in the constitution. On Sunday, Vice President Nand Bahadur Pun aka Pasang is reported to have hosted his ex-bosses Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Baburam Bhattari at his official residence for political parleys.
Vice President Pun, who is also the commander of the Maoist-affiliated ex-People’s Liberation Army, hosted CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal and leader of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman and former Prime Minister Bhattarai hosted for the formation of a ‘socialist center’ comprising all the former Maoists into the Maoist Center, JSP and the Unified Socialists .
