Addressing a special function organised at the Maha Kumbha Mela in Haridwar, India, Nepal’s former King Gyanendra expressed concern about the religious and cultural invasion on the continent.
The former King, who attended the special ceremony at the status of the Nepali Hindu Monarch, had addressed the ceremony on Sunday, 11 April.
The former King had remarked, “We have to save our religion, culture, temples, and cultural heritage sites.”
Recalling Lord Ram’s quote, the former King had remarked, “Our motherland is our haven!”
“Nepal is not a tiny country,” quoting Nepal’s great Nepali poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota, King Gyanendra had described Nepal as the center of the Aryan Civilization. He further explained how our religious and cultural values have been declined due to the foreign invasion.
“Our Hindu civilization, Sanatan Aryan culture, Veda, Upanishad Pooran are the valuable assets, which we have to preserve,” King Gyanendra urged.
Acharya Mahamandaleshwor, Mandaleshwor, Pithadhis and Rishi Munis had attended the special function.
