Kathmandu, 30 September: Locals in Dhangadhi have announced Dhangadhi bandh for indefinite period after the province parliament decided to name the province headquarters in Godawari and naming the province as Far West Province.
The province MPs from the ruling party endorsed the proposal with two-thirds majority. MPs from NC and other political parties, who were opposing this proposal, didn’t take part in the voting.
The locals lamented that province capital was shifted without any prior consultations with the people of Dhangadhi, which was the temporary capital of the province.
