Kathmandu: Professor Dr Govinda KC’s health has deteriorated, prompting Ilam District Hospital to refer him to the Ministry of Health, Koshi Province, in Biratnagar for further treatment.
In a press statement, the hospital said his condition was becoming increasingly complicated and could become life threatening. It urged the authorities to make arrangements for further medical intervention and treatment.
Dr KC, who has Type 2 diabetes, was admitted to Ilam Hospital at around 8 pm on September 30 last year.
Medical tests conducted at the hospital showed that his blood glucose level had dropped significantly, while the level of acetone in his urine had increased.
