Kathmandu, October 22: On the second day of receiving Tika during Bada Dashain, people continue to receive Tika and Jamara from elders and relatives as blessings of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. On the day of Vijaya Dashami, people generally receive Tika and Jamara within their immediate families. On the second day, they visit distant relatives and respected elders to receive their blessings. Those whose elders live far away continue visiting them for blessings from today until Kojagrat Purnima. Although in some parts of Nepal, the tradition is to receive Tika only on Vijaya Dashami, in most places the practice begins on Vijaya Dashami and continues until Kojagrat Purnima.
