Kathmandu, March 18: The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has decided to reissue labour permits to Nepali workers employed in seven countries.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the ministry said the decision applies to workers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, and Turkey.
“The decision has been made to provide renewed labour approval to Nepali workers currently employed in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, and Turkey, as well as to those who have returned to Nepal on leave and wish to go back to these countries for employment,” the ministry said.
Labour-related services, including approvals for these countries, had been suspended due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
