Narayanghat-Mugling Highway resumes operation

Kathmandu, September 26: The Narayangadh–Muglin road section has resumed operation after the landslide that had fallen at Tuiun Khola was cleared. The road, blocked by a landslide on Tuesday, was reopened for two-way traffic last night after the debris was removed.

According to Krishna Acharya, Information Officer at the Division Road Office, the road, which had been obstructed since 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, was reopened after two days of continuous clearing work.

With the road now operational, hundreds of stranded vehicles have moved toward their destinations. The landslide had occurred at Tuiun Khola, Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality–6, on Tuesday. More than 10,000 vehicles use this road daily.

Freight vehicles had been halted on the road for the past week, while some passenger vehicles had managed to pass during periods when the road was partially open.
