
Kathmandu, September 23: After the reopening of the Mugling-Narayanghat section of the Highway, again, the Mugling-Naubise section has halted following heavy landslides.
It is going to take all day on Tuesday to open the blocked road due to heavy landslides. Kedar Nepal, the head of the Muglin Nagdhanga Road Planning Office, said that the vehicles could not be operated throughout the day due to the landslide.
He said, the road maintenance team was unable to work immediately after the landslide at midnight. Although preparations have been made to remove the landslide only from this morning as there will be a risk during the night. Office Chief Nepal informed that it is difficult to work due to the ongoing landslide. The cleaning work will be done after the landslide stops.
The Office Chief Nepal has requested to take an alternative route for vehicles going from Chitwan to the capital and from Pokhara to the capital. He said, “I request the vehicles going to Kathmandu via Pokhara and Chitwan to go through the Sisnery of Hetauda. It is requested not to plan a trip through the Prithivi Highway as it will take all day to cross the landslide. “
The Muglin-Narayangadh road section, which came into operation only on Sunday evening after the landslide on Friday, was blocked again by the landslide in Jawang Khola on Tuesday.
