Four new ministers sworn in

Kathmandu, 22 September: Four new interim government ministers were sworn in at a special function in Sittal Niwas today. Only four ministers took the oath after Dr. Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra’s name was removed from the recommendation for the Minister of Health and Population.
The names of five ministers, including former additional secretary Dr Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra, were sent to the President’s Office on Sunday evening. After the controversy over Dr. Mishra, she was removed from the list and other ministers were sworn in.

The interim government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki removed Dr. Mishra when it sent the final list for swearing-in on Monday. Former Supreme Court justice Anil Kumar Sinha, founder of the National Innovation Centre, Mahabir Pun, journalist Jagdish Kharel and Dr Madan Pariyar took oath of office for the post of minister today.
Sinha has been given the responsibility of three ministries. He is going to head the Ministry for Land Reforms, Cooperatives and Poverty Irrigation Ministry.

Kharel has become the Minister for Communication and Information Technology. Accordingly, Pun has become the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, and Pariyar has become the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock.
