King Charles praises Nepal’s unity, democracy

Kathmandu, Sept 19: On the occasion of Constitution Day, King Charles of the United Kingdom sent greetings to the people of Nepal through President Ramchandra Paudel.

In a message sent from the British Embassy in Kathmandu, UK Ambassador Rob Fenn said King Charles praised the values of peace, democracy, and inclusion enshrined in Nepal’s constitution and expressed hope that the 2026 elections (Falgun 21, 2082) will lead the country toward a prosperous future.

Ambassador Fenn expressed condolences to the Nepali people affected by recent hardships and natural disasters. He said the resilience and unity of the Nepali people have inspired the world and wished that the coming year would bring healing, strength, and renewal.

“These difficult times, the spirit of the Nepali people and the values of the constitution have inspired us,” the message read. Ambassador Fenn and his wife extended their warm greetings to President Paudel and all Nepali people.
