
Kathmandu, September 18: American Ambassador Dean R. Thompson paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Prime Minister of the interim government, Sushila Karki.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, during the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, they discussed various issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki thanked the United States for its support to Nepal and expressed confidence that it would continue to do so in the coming days. On the occasion, Ambassador Thompson congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister Karki on behalf of the US government and expressed his commitment to help Nepal with the same priority as before.
