Kathmandu, Sept 16: Prime Minister Sushila Karki met with senior eye specialist Dr. Sanduk Ruit on Tuesday, September 16, at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology. The discussion focused on the possibility of Dr. Ruit joining the government led by Prime Minister Karki.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki requested Dr. Ruit’s support, citing the special circumstances under which she has taken on the leadership of the government. In response, Dr. Ruit expressed willingness to support the government but indicated that he would not be able to participate as a member.
After the discussion, Dr. Ruit stated that he could not leave his hospital work and patients. Following talks about him potentially joining the cabinet of the interim government formed after the ‘Gen Z’ movement, Dr. Ruit has reiterated that he will continue serving the public through his medical profession.
