Four Nepalis die in road accident in India

Kathmandu, Sept 16: Four people died and two others were injured when a vehicle met with an accident near Kotkhai in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, India.

The deceased are 50-year-old Dillibahadur Shahi from Kumakh Rural Municipality-4, Salyan, 36-year-old Akendra Shahi, 26-year-old Laxmi Mall Shahi, and 33-year-old Rajesh Bista.

The injured are Navaraj Shahi and Himbahadur Shahi. Three of the deceased belong to the same family.

According to preliminary investigation, the pickup jeep fell into a gorge after the driver lost control. Laxmi was taken to the hospital in a critical condition but died during treatment. Another seriously injured passenger, Dillibahadur, was sent to Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital but also died during treatment.
