Kathmandu, Sept 15: The three newly appointed ministers took their oath of office on Monday outside the ruins of the President’s Office building. They were sworn in by President Ramchandra Paudel in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
After arson during the Gen Z movement, Sheetal Niwas had become uninhabitable, which is why Prime Minister Karki’s own swearing-in last Friday had taken place inside the President’s residence. Today, a tent was set up outside the damaged office building to conduct the ministers’ oath ceremony.
Other guests were also invited to today’s event. Heads of government agencies and diplomatic missions were present. The three ministers sworn in today were Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, Energy, Physical Planning and Urban Development Minister Kulman Ghising, and Home and Law Minister Om Prakash Aryal.
Ghising has been assigned three ministries, while Aryal has been given charge of two.
