Kathmandu, Sept 13: The Nepal Army has stopped issuing new curfew and prohibition orders in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and other districts.
For the past four days, the army has been releasing daily notices citing instability and security threats after the Gen Z protests. No new notice has been issued since Saturday evening.
District Administration Offices will now decide on curfews and prohibitions as needed. With no new orders in place, streets in the Kathmandu Valley became lively early this morning, and daily life is returning to normal.
Earlier, limited movement was allowed between 6 am and 11 am, and 5 pm to 7 pm. Prohibition orders were enforced from 11 am to 5 pm, and curfew was in effect from 7 pm to 6 am the next morning. People’s News Monitoring Service
