Police says, total 51 died during Gen Z movement

Kathmandu, September 12: According to the Central Police, 51 people have been killed across the country so far during the Gen Z movement. However, DIG Vinod Ghimire said that all those killed were not Gen Z activists.

18 among those killed have not yet been identified. Ghimire said.

He said the process of identifying who they were has begun.

Several Indian nationals were also killed during the protests. An Indian tourist woman was injured in a fight with protesters at the Hyatt Hotel in Bouddha. She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.


However, the spokesman said that she died in the hospital. He said some of the dead were reported to be Indian nationals, but had not been identified. “We will reveal the identity of all and systematically make public the details, the bodies of those who have been identified are being handed over to the relatives,” he said.

A number of government employees from civil service and security service were also killed.
