The death toll from the police crackdown on the Gen Z protests has risen to 34

Kathmandu, September 11: Tuesday’s protest erupted after a heavy-handed police crackdown on a peaceful demonstration that began on Monday.

The health ministry said 34 people had died in the protests, according to data from various hospitals across the country.

The ministry said six people died at the Civil Hospital, eight at the National Trauma Centre, three at Everest Hospital, two at Kathmandu Medical College, three at Frontline Hospital, two at Vayodha Hospital, two at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Sunsari, 1-1 at BNC and Birtacity Hospital in Jhapa and five at Bheri Hospital in Banke.
