
Kathmandu, Sept 6: On the second day of the ongoing statute convention of CPN-UML, three more reports are set to be presented today. Reports from the Election Commission, the Accounts Committee, and the Disciplinary Commission will be tabled.
A separate opinion by Standing Committee member Karna Bahadur Thapa, scheduled for the first day, could not be presented. Only four reports were tabled during the inaugural session: the political report by Chairman KP Sharma Oli, the statute amendment report by Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel, the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, and the advisory council report by its chair Amrit Kumar Bohora.
Chairman and Prime Minister Oli has announced that today’s session will begin at 8 am, the reports will be presented by 10 am, and group discussions will follow.
The responsibility of drafting the contemporary proposal of the convention has been given to Yogesh Bhattarai. A total of 2,341 people are taking part in the convention, including 2,026 representatives from across the country and 315 participants as organizers.
