Kathmandu, Aug 18: Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has said that climate change is a crisis for human civilization itself. Speaking at the conference of parliamentarians from the Hindu Kush Himalayan region that began in Kathmandu on Friday, she stressed the need for collective cooperation among all countries to address the problem.
“This is a common challenge against human civilization. It does not recognize borders, geography, or political parties. We must seek solutions in that spirit. Joint efforts from all sides are essential,” she said.
She also noted that government efforts alone are not enough to deal with climate change, biodiversity loss, declining air quality, and other environmental challenges.
