Pakistan Embassy observes Youm-e-Tashakur

Kathmandu, May 25: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu observed Youm-e-Tashakur on Saturday, 24 May. Ambassador of Pakistan Abrar H Hashmi raised the Pakistani national flag in a dignified ceremony. Embassy officials, members of the Pakistani community, their families, and friends gathered to reflect on the resolute, befitting response of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

Special prayers were offered for the Shuhada of the Maraka-e-Haq (both military personnel and civilians) along with prayers for the swift recovery of the wounded and the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.

In his remarks, Ambassador Hashmi said, “Today we bow in gratitude to Almighty Allah, and pay tribute to the resilient people and armed forces of Pakistan for their unwavering faith, unity, and determination displayed yet again in the face of recent Indian aggression.” Embassy officials, members of the Pakistani community, their families, and friends gathered to reflect on the resolute, befitting response of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He said, “Amidst the bright smiles of all of us in attendance, we celebrate Pakistan’s success across all fronts. We resolve to defend its sovereignty against any aggression in the future as well.”

Ambassador Hashmi also highlighted the support of friends of Pakistan and the role played by the international community for peace and stability in the region. He also thanked friends and the Government of Nepal.

The Embassy also extended heartfelt thanks to its colleagues, the Pakistani community, and Nepalese friends for their continued support and solidarity.
