Kathmandu, August 30: Two children died, and two others were injured from an explosive blast in Panchthar district.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon in Dandagaun, Falelung Rural Municipality in the district, said the Police.
The explosive said to be a homemade grenade, blasted at the courtyard of Aitaraj Kerung’s house.
2-year-old Prinsa and 11-year-old Dipshan, children of Dilip Sanwa, died from the explosion.
Locals suspect that the explosive that was stored during the conflict period could have exploded. The house belongs to the Maoist worker, who is currently residing in the district headquarters and the house was used as the shelter by the Maoists during the insurgency era.
