
Kathmandu, May 23: The Nepal Embassy in China celebrated the 2568th Buddha Jayanti. On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, a program was organized at the embassy, attended by ambassadors, diplomats, Chinese citizens from various organizations, and members of the Nepali community residing in China, including communication officers, according to the Nepal Embassy.
Ambassador Bishnu Pukar Shrestha highlighted that the teachings of Buddha inspire the entire human race to lead civilized, compassionate, ethical, and meaningful lives. He mentioned that the enduring relationship between the two countries based on the principles of Panchsheel reflects the symbol of Buddhist spirituality over an extended period. He emphasized that facing the global challenges the world is encountering, the meaningfulness of Buddha’s teachings lies in confronting these worldwide challenges effectively.
The Deputy Chairman of the Buddhist Association of China, Monk Changjiang, and the abbot of the Lingguan Temple in Beijing, Liguan Mandir, shed light on the close and cordial relations between the peoples of Nepal and China.
